South West College hosted delegates from 26 countries as part of an International Passive House Association (iPHA), the conference took place at their Erne Campus in Enniskillen Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th September.
Enniskillen was chosen as the location for the prestigious event as the Erne Campus is presently the world's largest Passive House Premium Rated building in the world and the first educational building to achieve the accreditation. Passive House is the fastest growing standard in global construction.
The conference programme explored sustainability, the latest international processes and standards in the design and construction sector. The target audience were organisations from the public and private sector across Ireland, refocusing their efforts on alternatively fuelled transport options and how organisations can begin developing their sustainability strategies in line with government targets on carbon emissions and achieving Net Zero.
The conference was attended by over 200 attendees from across Ireland, UK and Canada. Local industry benefited greatly from the conference as well as getting significant exposure with over 100 international experts in the field.
